Paul said in 2 Corinthians 4:8–9, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed… persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.”
Paul was like the man in Proverbs 24:16, “A just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again.”
What does it mean to be just? It means to be upright, honest, and principled. Someone who conforms to what is right in both character and conduct.
A just person tells the truth, does what is right even when it’s hard, and treats others with integrity. They may fall, but because their foundation is right before God, they rise again.
Being just doesn’t make you immune to hardship, but it gives you the strength and reason to get back up.
So today, don’t just aim to stand. Aim to stand justly. That’s the secret to rising again.
