Not My Words, But His Work

For months, I’ve been praying that the Lord would give me an opportunity to share what He’s been teaching me. That desire to encourage and exhort other women has been growing quietly in my heart. I’ve experienced a joy in walking with God that I can’t keep to myself, and I long for others to taste it too.
“O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” Psalm 34:8
I’ve also dreamed of writing. Not because I’m a natural writer (I’m really not), but because I’ve wanted to leave something behind for my children. Something that points them to Christ. Still, I often felt inadequate, unsure, and hesitant to begin.
I also want others to see that the same God who led David through battles, gave Joshua boldness, sustained Job through suffering, and transformed Paul’s life is the very same God at work today. He’s not just the God of ancient stories. He’s the God of your story and mine. What He’s done in my life, He can do in yours. Abundantly, powerfully, and personally.
“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.”
2 Corinthians 3:5
I kept praying. And for a while, all I heard was silence. But this month, the Lord answered.
He’s led me to start writing down the things He’s been showing me. Truths I’ve meditated on for years, especially in these recent months as I’ve become more intentional in my walk with Him. Most of what I study are areas in my own life that need change. And now, suddenly, He’s allowed me to share them. So here I am, writing on a blog.
“This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.” Psalm 118:23
Now, I’ll let you in on a little secret (though it might be painfully obvious😅):
I use AI as my editor and run everything by my husband for both biblical accuracy and literary flair.
But the heart behind it? That comes straight from my quiet time with God. The truths you read are born from prayer, study, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.
Why am I telling you this? Because I want you to see God behind the words. If something touches you, it’s not because it’s well-written, it’s because He is at work in your life.
“That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:5
It all starts with God, is sustained by God, and finishes with God. Because it was always His story to begin with.
“For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.”
Romans 11:36
Regardless of how you feel about what I just shared, let me encourage you to start reading your Bible. Study it. Meditate on it. Trust it. Obey it. Put on the whole armor of God and pray! Because at the end of the day, my message remains the same: it’s not about the words written on the blog, it’s about His. Only the Word of God has the power to change your life.
